Michael SwerdinMichael Swerdin, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist with expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology, including cataract surgery. Dr. Swerdin is certified on the CATALYS Femtosecond Laser to perform Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery (LACS).

Dr. Swerdin is a Diplomate of the American board of Ophthalmology, a prestigious title he has held since 2000. He is an attending physician at several Long Island hospitals, including the Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Dr. Swerdin earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York and his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse. He completed his ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Swerdin is a proud member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New York State Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Swerdin is an associate of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, OCLI. OCLI consists of over 30 eye doctors representing most specialties of ophthalmology in eleven locations throughout Long Island: Rockville Centre, Lynbrook, Valley Stream, East Setauket, Manhasset, East Meadow, Port Jefferson, Mineola, Garden City, Massapequa and Plainview.
