Adam H. Bloom, MD, FAAO

Adam H. BloomDr. Bloom is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In 1994, he graduated from Harvard University summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Physics. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded at graduation for being the top student in ophthalmology. After completing an internal medicine internship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, Dr. Bloom pursued his ophthalmology residency at New York University and the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.

He was then selected for a prestigious cornea and external disease fellowship, during which he gained intensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal disorders. He currently cares for patients with conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes, and corneal problems including dry eye and allergy.

Dr. Bloom uses the most advanced technology in cataract surgery, including the femtosecond laser, astigmatism-correcting implants, and presbyopia-correcting implants. He has authored numerous scientific publications, which have appeared in leading ophthalmology journals.
